I am losing my mind over deciding what on earth to make as a handmade gift for christmas. I'm no sewing beginner, I'm basically not even a sewing n00b. I've never sewn a project before in my life. I have a sewing machine, but the most I've done is turn it on, off, cleaned it due to dust collecting on the surfaces.. and well, sewn a few test stitches that turned out wobbly as hell. I don't know if I could manage anything but I want to make something so bad, for my friend Gen, for my sister, my brother, my grandmother and parents. It's christmas in one day and I've never given gifts to anyone in years, so I really want to do it this year. However it looks like it'll well be 2012 by the time I've done making them. If I ever even manage to get started.
I can't decide!!! I spent over 12 hrs just yesterday alone, browsing the fucking internet, scrolling through tons of blogs and tutorials. I've learned one thing, jesus christ, there isn't anything that can't be made. I want to make so many things. This christmas alone I want to give Gen a necklace, a pencil case or clutch purse, a headband accessory, a rilakkuma keychain... then I keep changing my mind, thinking something else substituted in would make it sweeter. I'm just so afraid she won't like what I make, or find it useless, or it turns out shit ugly. Then I decided I'd make a teddy bear. But god I don't know how to sew the fake fur material thing! I've been wanting to go fabric shopping the entire of this week but due to excessive rain and excessive laziness, I've barely left the house!! My mum isn't helping. She avoids going out because of the rain too. I'm sinking back into my stay at home, eat till late late, sleep in till late late routine. FOUR DAYS ALREADY and today it was so difficult to get up and I wanted to go out but decided not to. SEE? It's sunken back, fuck this shit.
Anyhow, I'm gaining weight, what's new.
I still don't know what to make!!!! For my sis, maybe a pencil case and some colored pens. My brother a pencil case and some crayons... my grandma a clutch purse. Gen a teddy bear + necklace + hair accessory??
There were some really lovely tutorials I saw but they involve patchwork and I don't know if I can manage..........
shit.
also i'm never forgiving myself because i totally forgot on thursday that sherlock holmes was premiering in singapore. it's 1am saturday now. i'm a horrible, horrible fan.
